I scrolled down the list until I found Silhouette Studio, then I right-clicked it and selected Uninstall. I went to my Control Panel, selected Programs, then Programs and Features. The two folders are _Studio.8 and _Studio.license. I backed up (copied) the two folders onto a USB drive by clicking and dragging.
After that, I was able to see the “ProgramData” folder and the two folders within.In the pop-up window, I selected the View tab and then under “Hidden files and folders”, I selected “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” and clicked OK. To find the “ProgramData” folder in Part 1 of the tutorial, I went to the Windows search and entered “hidden”, clicking on the “Show hidden files and folders” that popped up as I was typing.To be able to see them, I followed these steps: With that accomplished, I need to back-up two hidden folders. Before starting my update, I remembered to back-up my library! With Silhouette Studio Version 3.8 and Version 4.0 installed on my PC, I want to update the latter to Version 4.1.
Now that Version 4.1 with all its added features has been released, I need to update the Version 4.0 to 4.1. I have used both successfully over the last several months for designing and cutting, but especially for teaching as one of Terri Johnson’s Licensed Instructors. When Silhouette Studio Version 4 was first released, I wanted access to both Version 3 and Version 4.
